Arctic Visions

Arctic Visions is a photographic book series, telling about every arctic country. Eight different countries, with their own story and concept. Eight paper volumes with nine, not bounded cards, each one can be hanged up on the wall or kept in the bookshelf. They will transport you there, in the arctic, looking for everything that until that moment you had just imagined. The goal of Arctic Visions is to tell the strongest and riskiest elements, sensitizing our eyes to their beauty and their fragility.
Lands populated almost exclusively by natives, the place that has always been called “home”. Stories and traditions have distant memories, but despite all difficulties, they still have been practiced today, and handed down in the circle of life.

Arctic Visions is a travel in reverse, until the origins, to come back to be human, I feel inside me the recall of freedom of those lands. A part of the world where it is impossible to lose, where the nature is still the man’s house, where the time follows its rules, and the seasons change the earth like the sky and the silence of the horizon speaks an ancient language. Human being goes back to being animal between the animals. Where the beauty assumes the forms of the trees that draw the landscape, it expresses the call of the animal, it paints of the colours of the northern lights and it perfumes of this primordial smell that you can feel where the time stopped and human has never been. And there I arrive, finally. I enter in the perfection of the landscape that composes Arctic Visions, a collection of photos that tells every Arctic country, each one with its own concept, with its own history. Eight paper volumes with nine photos each one, not bounded, to hang or to keep in the library. It will seem to be there, in the Arctic, and to watch everything that until now you just imagined. The purpose of Arctic Visions is to tell the strongest elements and at risk by raising awareness our eyes to their beauty and fragility.

A book series of eight paper volumes self-made, where inside you can find nine cards to tell the story of every arctic country, each one with its own concept, its own theme and its own history. The purpose of the fanzine is to tell the strongest and riskiest elements, supporting this long arctic travel.

For every fanzine sold, i am going to plant 5 trees with the association calls: “Trees For The Future”.
I chose Trees For The Future because I think I have found a way to solve more problems with a single solution: planting trees.
Through tree planting efforts they are able to help maintain a healthy ecosystem in multiple regions, reduce carbon emissions in the atmosphere and provide jobs for those living in poverty. For this reason Trees For The Future is undoubtedly a great body not profit.
